There have been mixed reactions to clean up operations conducted in Downtown Kingston by the Municipal Corporation, to rid the streets of illegal vending stalls.
The Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation, KSAMC, is asserting that it is accommodating vendors, however normality in the city must be restored.
Mayor, Delroy Williams is appealing to the vendors to desist from operating in public space, as it will obstruct pedestrians and vehicular traffic.
He adds that the vendors have a responsibility to act in accordance with the stipulations set out.
