Councillor Venesha Phillips made her formal move to join her new party members at the Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation today. Despite some playful teasing from councillors within the People’s National Party (PNP) caucus witnessing her transition, Phillips remains resolute and at peace with her decision.
Minority Leader Andrew Swaby pointed out that Councillor Phillips had distanced herself from the PNP for some time. He emphasized that despite the shift, the team wishes her well as she embarks on this new chapter on the other side. Watch the report:
