Jamaicans and international lovers of dancehall may have to wait another month to learn if famed entertainer Vybz Kartel will be released from custody after nearly 13 years. The complicated, high-profile case recently underwent a five-day Court of Appeal hearing. A three-judge panel, headed by Justice Marva McDonald-Bishop, is now reviewing extensive arguments from the prosecution and defense to make a decision. Defense attorney Alessandra Labeach is suggesting a starting point for the deliberations.
