St Ann Councillor Lydia Richards is fuming following the ill treatment of a bed-ridden community member. Richards is speaking out against the St Ann’s Bay Hospital where the man was taken for treatment.
Residents of York in St Ann banded together to help their neighbor seek health care at the St Ann’s Bay hospital. According to coucillor for the area Lydia Richards, he was admitted for two days then sent home where he fell ill once more. However, it was in bringing him to the hospital for a second time that things went downhill.
The issue was brought up by Richards at the local board of health meeting on Friday. The medical officer for St Ann Dr. Tamika Henry joined the meeting virtually and apologized for the series of events; Richards was updated after the meeting.
