Wanted Man Caught At Oaklands Apartment

Wanted man and reputed Klansman gang member 26-year-old Kevon McCallum of a St. Catherine address was ambushed by members of the military in St Andrew and taken into custody at noon, on Wednesday. McCallum is a person of interest for several murders and currently wanted for one.

Minutes after midday on Wednesday the Oaklands Apartment complex off Constant Spring Road was ladened with members of the Special Operations team who ceased everyone coming in and going out of the usually quiet residence.

It was later revealed the suspect which was apprehended was a member of the Blackman Faction of the Klansman Gang based in St. Catherine.

He is identified as Kevon Mccallum otherwise known as Macky Boy, who is wanted for the January 2019 murder of Jason Brown which occurred on Chin’s Avenue in Spanish Town, St. Catherine. He is also a person of interest in several other violent crimes in the St. Catherine north division. The suspect’s vehicle also was seized

Additionally, no weapons were seized nor any shots fired during the operation. Residents within the complex say McCallum is not a popular face within the gated community and they believe he was just staying with a friend.

The Property Manager for the complex confirmed this information saying his name is not on a lease agreement.

Charles Occonor, Chairman of the complex says it is unfortunate an incident as this happened on the compound but is grateful no one was hurt.
