A man who was wanted by the Portland police was shot and killed in his home by unknown assailants Friday, October 8. According to the Portland police, the deceased has been a person of interest for some time as he has been connected to other crimes in the parish.
Residents of 94 Hill Top on Arthur’s Lane, Portland are in mourning after Damion Brown otherwise called Oney, met his demise late Friday. CVM Live understands that the alleged wanted Portland man, Brown was in his home when unknown assailants kicked off the door of premises occupied by brown. The intruders then fired two shots hitting brown before fleeing the scene.
Deputy Superintendent of the Portland Police, Throyville Haughton says the police is seeking assistance from residents in locating the culprit. He noted that currently there is no one in custody for the incident, as there are no clear leads from who or where the attack came from. However, DSP Haughton highlights that Brown was also wanted by the police for a number of break-ins in the Portland Division. Brown’s death has brought the murder tally in the parish to 13 since the start of the year.
