Minister without portfolio in the Ministry of Growth and Job Creation, Everald Warmington appeared less fiery in his sectoral contribution recently even as he blamed the previous administration for deficiencies in the country’s water supply systems.
Warmington assures however that under the Andrew Holness-led administration, Jamaicans can hope to see improved water delivery and less waste despite the nation contending with drought conditions. He says the Government also distributed over 750 water tanks and promises to replace damaged and outdated pipelines across the country. Sections of the country have been facing drought conditions and dwindling water supplies have again forced the authorities to impose strict water restrictions where breaches could be met with harsh penalties.
