Western Region Overcoming Covid-19, Hospitalizations Decline

Western Jamaica is overcoming Covid-19, as hospitalizations have significantly declined and no doctor or nurse from the four major hospitals is out sick.

The Clinical Coordinator for the Western Regional Health Authority while providing the update suggests that the country should return to normality as soon as possible but with caution.

Dr. Delroy Fray says hospitals in the region are looking at resuming normal operations, citing single-digit Covid-19 hospitalizations. He further notes that there’s no doubt the country should return to normality.

Jamaica on Monday recorded 67 cases out of a total of 1,100 tests done.
