The lingering effects of teacher migration are evident in Jamaica’s education system. Education Minister Fayval Williams, says the government has outlined several steps to ensure the nation’s children continue receiving quality education come September.
During CVM LIVE’s Panel Discussion yesterday the minister assured thousands of new teachers have already been procured. To tackle the perennial issue of teacher migration in Jamaica, over 2000 new teachers are set to be integrated into the education system come September. The Education Minister says this cohort was provided in partnership with the Mico University College and the Jamaica Teaching Council.
