Shock and horror takeover, as the Sunday morning worship at the Agape Christian Fellowship church in Falmouth, turned to scream and mourning, on January 31; churchgoers bear witness to the cold-blooded murder of one of their member, 51-year-old Andrea Lowe-Garwood, National Commercial Bank (NCB) Manager of Brook Manner in the parish.
The unwelcome sounds of gunshot shots joined in the music of the worship band in the Agape Fellowship church during the Livestream. Andrea Lowe Garwood of Daniel Town Road Trelawny dead, church members traumatised, and a community on edge.
Police say three people are now in custody including her step-son following the cold-blooded murder of the former NCB bank manager. Reports from eyewitnesses say Garwood was praying when the shooter who was seated behind her opened fire hitting her multiple times.
They say the shooter then escaped in a waiting white Toyota Allion where church members were able to record the license plate number. Other allegations are that the suspect also left his cell phone which is now in the possession of the police.
Andrea was said to be a widow, her husband died some weeks ago in a motor vehicle accident. National Security Minister Dr. Horace Chang says he is positive this case will be closed quickly based on the strong leads the police now have.
There are many speculations from members of the community voicing a possible motive for the murder. However, residents who say they are close to the deceased say Garwood attended her husband’s funeral with bodyguards late last year.
