With the environment being prioritized by the government, according to Senator Matthew Samuda, the administration’s tree planting initiative which aims to have 3 million trees planted in three years, has reached almost half its desired target.
Samuda, Minister without Portfolio in the Office of the Prime Minister, notes the necessary man power has been made amid the peak of the 2022 Atlantic hurricane season, when asked about the preservation of trees Samuda says. With regards to the issue of plastics, the Senator says the government has partnered with several environmental agencies for cleaning up projects along the nation’s shores. More details here:
