Meadows Calls For Recruitment of Licensed Firearm Holders To Fight Crime

With the rising crime rate, Former Deputy Chairman of the Firearm Licensing Authority, Dennis Meadows is calling on the government to grant more gun licenses to law-abiding citizens.

He says this will allow them the opportunity to protect themselves against criminals.  The former Jamaica Labour Party Senator highlights numerous situations where licensed firearm holders have intervened and saved the day.

He asks, why not issue more licenses and recruit those holders into an auxiliary cohort to help the police fight crime?  Meadows is confident this strategy will reap positive results.
