After decades of personifying his own philosophy, “do well and do good”, Jamaican billionaire and business mogul Michael Lee-Chin has been inducted into the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica’s Hall of Fame, for his doing good, which has played a massive role in the nation’s development.
Hailing from humble beginnings, Mr. Lee-chin has risen to national prowess, cementing himself as one of Jamaica’s most successful businessmen, who owns the country’s most profitable financial institution.
A family man, visionary, and titan of Jamaican business, were just three of the terms used to describe Mr. Lee-Chin.
In fact, the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica’s President Keith Duncan says Lee-Chin’s decision to cop the National Commercial Bank came at a time when Jamaica was deemed a high-risk investment spot.
Duncan also lauds the National Commercial Bank chairman for his contribution even outside of Jamaica, noting he has also made significant strides in Canada.
The inductee, clad in a blue tuxedo and with a bright smile, expresses gratitude for the appointment. He reflects on his successes now joining three other Jamaican stalwarts, Thalia Lyn, Joseph Matalon and Richard Byles, Michael Lee-Chin is officially the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica’s inductee of 2022.
