An unprovoked injury, which could have turned deadly. That is how the result of an incident at the Cross Key’s High school in Manchester is being described, after a student received a deep wound to his hand, inflicted by his classmate.
The Father of the wounded student Kerron Outar, says his son told him the weapon was a barber’s straight-edge shaver. The father alleges that there was no argument or fighting between the two prior to the wounding.
Outar says when he was told about the incident, he made a rash decision to visit the school in a bid to protect his son. He adds that his anger was further provoked by what he describes as the school’s lack of transparency with the matter, as he notes the school did not report the incident to the police.
He is demanding the matter be taken to the Ministry of Education. He says he is disappointed in the school’s handling of the incident since his son’s safety was grossly compromised.
When Cvm Live contacted the principal of the school, he told us that he was in a meeting. Subsequent calls to his phone went unanswered.
