Despite the ongoing conversation about use of dangerous drugs among the nation’s youth, one stakeholder representing law enforcement in Manchester is imploring the government to do more to allow for the arrest and charge of persons selling and producing drugs such as molly.
The lawman went further adding that the police have been crippled in how they deal with those circumstances. He highlighted another area of concern, the lack of a state run rehabilitation facility for youngsters struggling to overcome drug addiction.
Meantime, another stakeholder challenged parents to be less judgmental in their efforts to steer young people from drug abuse. There has been a reported increase of drug abuse among children and young people locally, especially with the prevailing pandemic.
