Speaking at a People’s National Party (PNP) town hall in Manchester Thursday, Opposition Leader Mark Golding confirmed that the party is in preparation mode ahead of the local government elections which he notes are long overdue.
He accused the government of using the pandemic to their advantage, noting that a general election was held during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. Golding also alluded to a move made by the Prime Minister earlier this year extending the date, he says the reason was not valid. He says in the meantime, the party will be gathering all possible candidates and ensuring they are well-prepared.
