Southern St. Elizabeth benefited recently from the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation’s water commissioning project. Spearheaded by Minister without Portfolio with Responsibility for Water Matthew Samuda, he notes this latest commissioning in the parish will supply over two hundred households.
Samuda says an increasingly large percentage of areas across the island are gaining access to potable water and efficiency, is seen as a priority.
The Minister points out that though at least 78% of the country has access to potable water, there is no room for complacency. Included in the vision for the sector is a keen attention to environmental impact.
