Peter Bunting has tested negative for the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Mr. Bunting was tested on Monday, August 24, 2019, and received a negative report last afternoon. Mr. Bunting will continue to wear his mask, sanitise frequently, and abide by the social distancing protocols established by the Ministry of Health.
Peter Bunting has tested negative – the test was conducted following possible contact with His Worship Mayor of Mandeville and Councillor for the Royal Flat Division in Manchester Central Donovan Mitchell, who tested positive for COVID-19. The Mayor has self-quarantined since Nomination Day, August 18, 2020 – He did not participate in the Nomination Day march or other public activities. He did, however, attend the signing of the Nomination form at the Electoral Office of Jamaica (EOJ) Centre.
The Mayor was advised on Monday, August 24, 2020, of his positive test and the Ministry of Health has commenced the contact tracing process.
