Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine Wins Full FDA Approval

Federal regulators granted full approval to the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine. This is a breakthrough that could help increase inoculation rates.

The Food and Drug Administration action marks the first licensing of a vaccine for the coronavirus.

The Pfizer vaccine has been approved for two doses, three weeks apart, in people sixteen years and older.
