Policeman Fatally Shot in Seaforth, St. Thomas

A Policeman Mark Antonio Forsythe was shot and killed in Seaforth, St. Thomas a short while ago. CVM TV understands he was pounced upon by a lone gunman who shot him several times.

He has been identified as 37-year-old District Constable Mark Antonio Forsythe, assigned to the Trinity Ville Police Station.

Reports are Forsythe received a call from citizens that strange men were seen in a lane off the York Main road. After alerting St. Thomas Police, he went to the lane to investigate, and shortly after gunshots were heard. He was later found at the rear of the premises suffering from gunshot wounds.

He was transported to the Princess Margaret Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
