Election 2020: No House Visits On Campaign Trail

No House Visits On Campaign Trail – During an interview with CVM LIVE, the Political Ombudsman, Donna Parchment Brown, says effective Sunday, August 23, no political representative should venture inside anyone’s home while on the campaign trail.  The move follows the recent spike in COVID-19 cases, the community quarantines and the overwhelming breaches of mask-wearing and social distancing on the campaign trail.

Elections in Jamaica are usually synonymous with mass gatherings of hundreds of people and motorcades with overloaded vehicles.  She says stringent measures must be enforced to prevent a further spread.
