Prime Minister Holness Urges Caution Amid Storm Warning

With the severe weather system expected to lash Jamaica in the coming hours, many have been left concerned. Prime Minister  Andrew Holness says Jamaicans should take the necessary precaution should the tropical storm make landfall over the weekend.

Prime Minister Holness is urging fisher folk to return to shore while reiterating several safety practices.

Meantime, Local Government Minister Desmond Mckenzie says 900 shelters and Shelter Managers are waiting to take the necessary steps. He says persons living in flood-prone areas should evacuate. The Prime Minister and his team on Friday handed over indigent houses in Bell Rock, West Central St Andrew while urging residents to prepare for the worst.
