In an effort to contain the spread of COVID-19 in Montego Bay, St.James the washing and sanitizing of several streets in the city took place on Sunday, June 28.
On Friday, community surveillance began in Norwood St. James after at least 7 close contacts of a confirmed case tested positive for the disease.
Mayor of Montego Bay Homer Davis tells CVM LIVE that the sanitization of St. James Street and several others in Montego Bay is a joint project between the St. James Municipal Corporation and a number of corporate companies to include Carib Cement Company Limited and Jamaica premix.
