The Jamaica Constabulary Force reported that a man was charged under the new Fire Arm Act. Jamaica Public Service Limited (JPS) Contractor of Lyssons, St. Thomas, Junior Heron, has been charged under the new Firearm Act due to a domestic dispute between him and his girlfriend. Thirty-seven-year-old Junior Heron, a JPS Contractor of Lyssons, St. Thomas has been charged with Unauthorized Possession of Ammunition and Stockpiling Ammunition following an incident in his community on Friday, December 9. Reports are that at about 11:00 p.m., a team of police officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute between Heron and his girlfriend. The lawmen responded and after making inquiries, a suitcase was seized and searched; an assortment of 21 rounds of ammunition, spent casings and blank cartridges were found. Henry was arrested and later charged after a question-and-answer interview on Monday, December. His court date is being finalized.
