Amid concerns about the significant reduction in the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) buses, the Transport Operator’s Development Sustainable Services(TODSS) is reassuring commuters that they are fully prepared for the new school term.
This as Opposition Spokesman on Transport, Mikael Phillips, recently predicted chaos for commuters who depend on JUTC buses, when the new school year begins on Monday.
Transport Operator’s Development Sustainable Services President Egeton Newman, asserts that despite the odds the private investors will be able to step up. Newman says while they are challenges, the operators are dedicated to providing service to the people.
The president is however calling on the government to fulfill its promises made to the operators. He is further calling for a fare increase in short order as they prepare themselves for the return of full face to face learning since 2020. More details here
