Two students fell at school on the same day. On Wednesday a male student at Windward Road Primary School in Kingston was hospitalized after he fell from a building at the school and a sixth-form student of Decarteret College in Manchester. She was leaning on a wooden rail, which collapsed and was later rushed to the hospital.
The principal of Decarteret College Prim Lewis, says the institution is currently faced with infrastructural challenges. To maintain safety at the school the sixth-form classes have been deployed to the auditorium. She says no classes will be held in the area.
Lewis says the incident is unfortunate and the school will provide the necessary support while the student recovers.
When Cvm Live contacted the mother of the female student she was unable to comment. She expressed difficulty coping, including consistent visits to the hospital.
