UHWI Launches Investigation Surrounding Teen’s Death

Earlier today the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI) sent out a press release stating that it will undergo investigations surrounding the death of seventeen-year-old Jalisa McGowan who suffered from an asthma attack gasping for air last Friday.

The University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI) deeply regrets the loss of Ms. Jalisa McGowan and has launched an investigation surrounding her death on Friday, February 26, 2021.

The University Hospital is committed to giving a full disclosure of the findings of the investigation, upon its conclusion.

The Hospital assures the public that every effort is made by the staff to preserve the lives of all who seek treatment and care at its institution.
