United States Announces Total Ban on Russian Oil

“We are banning all imports of Russian oil and gas energy” United States President Joe Biden announced earlier today during a live special report that Russia’s oil will no longer be accepted by America; he expressed that the move has strong bipartisan and Congress support, highlighting that the move is a united response to the unprovoked activity in Ukraine.

“This is the current price of war,” says The US President. This step is expected to inflict further pain on Russia, in an effort to cut off foreign revenue as punishment for the invasion of Ukraine.

According to Biden and administration officials, the ban will include oil, liquefied natural gas, and coal. This big leap comes after the appeals of the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy to stop importations.

To the businesses that are pulling out of Russia, President Biden said “this is a time to do our part and make sure we are not taking advantage…”
