Since the passage of the new laws, there have been concerns regarding the use of child restraint systems in taxis. The discussions have reached a stage where the law is now being reviewed by the Government of Jamaica (GoJ). In view of this, the Police are asked to use their discretion and allow children to be transported in back seats without a child restraint system.
