Several vendors at the Falmouth Market in Trelawny were forced to start over after fire ravaged a section of the market Friday. When our news team arrived on the scene vendors in distress tried to scrape what is left of their goods.
They say they’ve been selling in the market for over thirty (30) years now their livelihoods, are all ruined. Another vendor explains that electricity has been an issue for quite some time. The vendors think it unreasonable to be paying market fees while working in what they describe as deplorable conditions. They say the estimated loss is in the millions.
With the new school year fast approaching and many in preparation mode, the vendors are calling on the Councilor and the Municipal Corporation to intervene on their behalf. More details here:
