Tensions flared, during a tour of the market by Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Desmond Mckenzie, as vendors bemoaned the testing environment.
One vendor at the Charles Gordon Market revealed that the poor management of the market has contributed to the problem. Another vendor expressed total dissatisfaction, he says whenever it rains, there is a pungent odor. He is questioning the purpose of the regular market fees they pay.
Minister Mckenzie disclosed that an estimate for the rehabilitation has been completed and the issue will be addressed soon. More details here:
