Prime Minister Holness says that the government is working closely with United States authorities to end the importation of illegal guns into the country. He argues that the country’s chronic gun culture must change. Police Commissioner, Major General Antony Anderson recently announced that four hundred and forty-eight (448) firearms had been seized up to the end of July resulting in a four percent increase. Since August, the St. Catherine South police have taken 12 guns off the street.
