In this Panel Discussion, we explore the suggestion by Justice Minister Delroy Chuck, that human rights groups may be “emboldening” criminals, who know that watchdog groups may aid them when caught. Are human rights in danger of being abrogated or abridged if Jamaica’s crime problem continues to escalate and what responsibilities do rights groups have in a society with runaway crime?
