Are Human Rights Groups “Emboldening” Criminals?

In this Panel Discussion, we explore the suggestion by Justice Minister Delroy Chuck, that human rights groups may be “emboldening” criminals, who know that watchdog groups may aid them when caught. Are human rights in danger of being abrogated or abridged if Jamaica’s crime problem continues to escalate and what responsibilities do rights groups have in a society with runaway crime?

To discuss the issues, we are joined virtually by father Sean Major-Campbell Director at Jamaicans for Justice, Anglican Priest, and Public Theologian, and in-studio Michael Williams, Chairman of the National Democratic Movement. Watch the discussion below:
