CARICOM and the post of Commonwealth Secretary-General

What is behind Antigua and Barbuda’s opposition to Jamaica’s nomination of Kamina Johnson Smith, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, for the post of Secretary-General of the Commonwealth and why has Jamaica chosen to go against traditional norms and nominate her? Will this move further divide the region and is there in fact anything to divide, given the long fractious state of Caricom?

We are joined by former ambassador to the United Nations Curtis Ward and political commentator, Kevin O’Brien Chang.
