Children Living in the Streets of Jamaica

The Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA), report that up to 2,000 children are living and engaging in risky behaviour on the nation’s streets.

From hustling to construction to prostitution, the main motivating factor behind their choices is consumption poverty.

What is being done to address the issue of children working in the streets?

In this discussion, we look at the study of children working and living on the streets in Jamaica, which was recently tabled in Parliament.
