The Crime Monitoring and Oversight Committee (CMOC) recently hosted one of its quarterly press briefings. The event was geared at bringing the public up to date on progress being made by the security and justice architecture in Jamaica’s fight against violent crimes.
Additionally, the press conference highlighted a number of progressive actions being taken by the Government, the police force and other critical actors on the crime-fighting front. It also spoke to those areas where there was either slow or no progress.
To discuss we are joined by Lieutenant Commander George Overton who focuses on Jamaica Constabulary Force transformation in the CMOC and Marc Ramsay who focuses on justice in the CMOC.
