The COVID-19 pandemic has not only exposed disparities in our healthcare system but has also slowed research in critical areas and precipitated a crisis in Jamaica’s overall healthcare system. How do we handle our current healthcare emergencies and the need for research in areas such as stroke, cancer, and neuroscience?

Joining us to discuss this critical issue, Dr. Carl Bruce, Medical Chief of Staff University Hospital of the West Indies; he’s also the head of neurosurgery at UWI and Dr. Gillian Gordon Perue, Attending and Consultant Neurologist, Jacksons South Miami.
