On this panel discussion we explore the subject of parental responsibility. In recent times, we have heard that the office of the DPP intends to charge the police officer, whose child died after being left in the car, with manslaughter. There have also been calls for parents to be held liable for the violent behaviour of their children in schools. Is societal attention turning towards improving parenting as a method of reducing the emergence of violent and non-attached youth?
