Public Sector Compensation Concerns

Minister of Finance Dr Nigel Clarke held a press conference providing an update and explanation of the delay in payment to a number of ministries, departments, and agencies of government under the new compensation payment system.

To discuss the concerns public sector workers are facing during the transitional phase of the new compensation process, we are joined by Helene Davis Whyte, President of the Jamaica Confederation of Trade Unions (JCTU), and John Levy, General Secretary of the Union of Clerical, Administrative and Supervisory Employees (UCASE).
