Quantity Surveyors Perspective On “Sub-Standard” Contract Work

We take a closer look at the concerns voiced by Minister of National Security Dr. Horace Chang, relating to the standard of work being done by contractors at a number of the nation’s police stations, that have been earmarked for renovations. The question is – who is ultimately responsible for the oversight of these projects? To explore the issues from the perspective of an engineer, we are joined by Gary Walters, past president of the Jamaica Institution of Engineers (JIE), and with us in studio Dean Burrowes, a vastly experienced quantity surveyor.
