Significance of the Parliamentary Bicameral Women’s Caucus

Members of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, December 13, approved a Motion for the establishment of the first Women’s Parliamentary Bicameral Caucus.

We examine the significance of the establishment of a Parliamentary Bicameral Women’s Caucus, that will see a sessional select committee comprised exclusively of women in both the Lower and Upper House. To discuss the thinking behind its establishment, we are joined by Patricia Duncan Sutherland, President of the People’s National Party’s (PNP) Women’s Movement, and Mickel Jackson, Executive Director of Jamaicans for Justice.
