There is much tension in the South East St. Catherine Constituency among supporters of the People’s National Party (PNP), following the party’s recent decision to select Dr. Alfred Dawes as its standard bearer for the constituency in the next General Election ahead of Alric Campbell. It sparked protests and even an arson attack on the Party’s Constituency Office. Dr. Dawes says he received death threats subsequent to his selection.
