The Changing Landscape of Immigration to the United States

The United States is attempting to reset the tone of the immigration system by “restoring humanity and American values to their system.”  Seeking to reform major areas, including creating new pathways to citizenship for undocumented individuals and individuals with temporary status, as well as increasing the efficiency of various employment-based immigrant processes.

But with refugee numbers swelling at the southern border and a potential labour shortage as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccine mandates, this evening we explore the changing landscape of immigration to the United States.
