The Implications of the New Sexual Harassment Bill

With the passage of new Sexual Harassment Bill into law, sexual harassers will soon wake up to a new reality-one in which victims of such actions have clear recourse within the law to ensure that abuse is ended and repercussions are felt.

However, the questions must be asked; who determines what is viewed as abusive?

And are the grey areas of human interaction adequately addressed in the new legislation?

State Minister with responsibility for Culture, Gender, Entertainment, and Sport Alando Terrelonge, and Professor Opal Palmer Adisa University Director for Gender and Development Studies, UWI, joined the CVM Live Panel to discuss the intentions of the Sexual Harassment Legislation.
