The State of Tourism- Jamaica Avoids UK Travel Red List

Despite an atmosphere of apprehension in recent days, Jamaica has not been added to the United Kingdom’s travel red list countries for travel, but what does that say about the international perception of Jamaica’s tourism COVID-19 resilience?

Minister Edmund Bartlett has been encouraging workers in the industry to get vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus, as the scape of the industry changes. Many companies including cruise shipping and airline are gradually moving to the stance of a vaccinated approach to get business in the respective areas running as smoothly as possible, while practicing the proper health measures stipulated.

How can we ensure we remain off the UK’s travel red list?

Where is our current tourism sector heading?

What is the current state of the sector?

What and how the state of Jamaica’s tourism sector will like post COVID-19?

Tourism Minister Ed Bartlett joined the CVM Live Panel Discussion to discuss these and other issues impacting the sector responsible for a third of National GDP.
