In a sweaty display of talent and determination, Jamaica’s athletes added more gold to their impressive tally. Nicholas Dusard, competing in the men’s light heavyweight division, conquered after facing fierce competitors from Germany, Portugal, and France. Akino Lindsay showcased his prowess in the men’s super heavyweight continuous sparring, conquering opponents from Germany and emerging victorious. Meanwhile, Richard Stone in the men’s heavyweight continuous sparring, overcame challengers from the Czech Republic and Germany to claim his gold.
Jamaica’s remarkable performance in the tournament culminated in a total of 6 gold medals, with Nicholai Reid, the 2023 United States Open gold medalist, contributing a silver in point sparring and a bronze in continuous middleweight. Unfortunately, Delano Francis was sidelined due to an early injury.
