The Jamaica scorpions led by half-centuries from Assad Fudadin, André Mccarthy and skipper Rovman Powell, defeated the combined campuses and colleges by 97 runs on Tuesday night at Warner Park in Basseterre, Saint Kitts. Fudadin top scored with 97, while McCarthy made 91, Powell 57 and Aldane Thomas 48, as the scorpions piled up 330 for 8 from their 50 overs.
Akeen Jordan 3 for 72 and Akshaya 2 for 66 were the most successful bowlers for C.C.C. In reply, CCC was bowled out for 233 in 45 overs. Romaine Morris top-scored with 96. Oshane Thomas claimed 3 for 25, Dennis Bulli 3 for 44 and Derval Green 2 for 51, as the Jamaicans ticked off their first win of the tournament.
