Coach Lorne Donaldson bids farewell as his contract ends on Sep 30. Despite extended talks, no new deal with the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF).
JFF thanks Donaldson for leading Reggae Girlz to the Women’s World Cup Round of 16, and wishes him boundless success.
Under Donaldson, The Jamaica women’s national football team, nicknamed the “Reggae Girlz” drew with France and Brazil, and beat Panama 1-0, making history in their second-ever World Cup appearance. Donaldson’s journey started with their first Women’s World Cup qualification in 2019. Though they fell short against Canada for the Paris Olympics, Reggae Girlz stayed resilient.
JFF gears up for Concacaf Women’s Gold Cup qualifiers, assembling a strong coaching team.
