Julien Alfred secures The 2023 Bowerman Award

Julien Alfred secures The Bowerman accolade for the 2022-23 season, claiming the top honor in collegiate track and field on Thursday night. She marks a historic moment as the second Longhorn recipient, following Courtney Okolo in 2016, and as the first international woman to clinch this prestigious trophy. Additionally, she proudly stands as the Conference’s fourth recipient of this award, joining the ranks of Okolo, Jenny Barringer of Colorado (2009), and Jessica Beard of Texas A&M (2011).
